LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Have you ever noticed a phrase often used in the New Testament by several of the inspired writers?  The one I am referring to is "ONE ANOTHER".   I think this emphasizes the importance of our relationship as God's people.  It seems to remind us of the way we are to not only be in unity, but to take care to treat ONE ANOTHER in a special way.  Notice with me some of the times its used to remind us:

"Be devoted TO ONE ANOTHER IN BROTHERLY LOVE; give preference to ONE ANOTHER in honor;"  (Romans 12:10)

"Be of the same mind toward ONE ANOTHER , do not be haughty in mind, but associate  with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation." (Romans 12:16)

"Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to LOVE ONE ANOTHER."         (1 Thessalonians 4:9)

"A new commandment I give to you, that YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER, even as I have loved you, that you also LOVE ONE ANOTHER." (JOHN 13:34)

"Let the LOVE OF THE BRETHREN CONTINUE.  (Hebrews 13:1)

"This is My commandment, that YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER, just as I have loved you." (John 15:12)

"For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should LOVE ONE ANOTHER; (1 John 3:11)

"Beloved, let us LOVE ONE ANOTHER, for love is from God; and every one who loves is born of God and knows God." (1 John 4:7)

"Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind WITH ONE ANOTHER according to Christ Jesus."  ( Romans 15:5)

We could refer to many other passages but I think we see the significance of the ONE ANOTHER teachings.  God's TRUTH, the message of the Gospel of Christ, has given us fellowship with ONE ANOTHER as; well as with the Father and His Son. (1 John 1:6,7)  After becoming part of His family we learn to follow the teachings of our Master and grow closer to each other as well as to Hiim.  By LOVING EACH OTHER, or ONE ANOTHER, we are able to grow in our faith as well as closer to our Father in heaven.  Are we paying attention to His teachings about ONE ANOTHER, and how important it is to follow in Jesus steps.  Jesus often said, "He who has ears, listen!"  Are we listening?    Ross
