WHAT WILL HEAVEN BE LIKE?
WHAT WILL HEAVEN BE LIKE? This is a question asked down through the ages, I'm sure. God has revealed some glimpses that will answer some things about heaven, but many are His secret. We do know He has prepared a place for all the faithful after this life is over. We also know it's a place much different than life on this earth. So, what is HEAVEN LIKE?
ITS A PLACE GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THE FAITHFUL... "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea, And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His peoples, and God himself shall be among them, .." (Revelation 21:1-3)
ITS A PLACE WITHOUT PAIN, SUFFERING, DEATH -- NO SIN THERE..."and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." (Revelation 21:3.4)
ITS A TIME GOD WILL CHOOSE TO SEND HIS SON BACK TO EARTH...."But the DAY OF THE LORD WILL COME, like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat , and the earth and its works will be burned up." (2 Peter 3:10)
ITS A PROMISE FROM GOD .."but according to His PROMISE we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. " (2 Peter 3:13)
ITS A PLACE AFTER TIME HAS ENDED AND ETERNITY BEGINS FOR ALL.. "And these will pay the penalty of ETERNAL DESTRUCTION, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified in the saints on THAT DAY, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--for our testimony to you was believed." (2 Thessalonians 1:9-10)
ITS A PLACE THE FAITHFUL WILL SPEND ETERNITY WITH GOD..."Not every one who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER, who is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21)
"And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall DWELL AMONG THEM, AND THEY SHALL BE HIS PEOPLES, AND GOD HIMSLEF SHALL BE AMONG THEM. " (Revelation 21:3)
Unless we do the Father's will while on this earth we cannot expect to be rewarded with a home with Him in heaven. (Matthew 28:20) Jesus always did the Father's will, making all things for us possible. As long as TIME is on our side, we are able to make changes and obey His gospel. (Romans 1:16)
Do you have a LIVING HOPE of one being in HEAVEN when this life ends?? The decision to go to HEAVEN is one each of us makes. There will be no changes after Jesus comes again. Serious things to consider, don't you think.
