Where are you in regards to God's TRUTH?

There's a word used in God's Word quite often; a word that has great meaning and importance to all He has to say.......it's the word TRUTH.  Have you ever noticed the number of times and ways that word it used?  It immediately causes us to realize there is something in contrast to the TRUTH.  When we stray away from all God gives us and teaches we find we are leaving the TRUTH.   His TRUTH is absolute.  Meaning when we follow the TRUTH we are in fellowship with God and His Word. But only as long as we follow that teaching. (2 John 9) That may bring to mind some of those Scriptures that describe how God is the source of TRUTH.  Let us notice a few that help us understand the importance and nature of TRUTH..

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, HANDLING ACCURATELY THE WORD OF TRUTH."  (2 Timothy 2:15)

"Buy TRUTH, and do not sell it. Get wisdom and instruction and understanding." (Proverbs 23:23)

"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the TRUTH, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." (John 14:6)

A bit later in John 14 we find these words: "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know HImn because He abides with you, and will be in you. " (John 14:16,17)

"Sanctify them in the TRUTH; Thy word is TRUTH." (John 17:17)  (All Scripture is inspired of God.) (2 Timothy 3;16)

We find God the essence of TRUTH....in all three Persons of  God....Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  IN addition to this HIS WORD IS TRUTH.  When John began his Gospel, he referred to Jesus as "full of grace and TRUTH":

"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and TRUTH."                (John 1:14)

"Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE." (John 8:31,32)

God has provided various examples of His Truth, and how it brings us into fellowship with Him, HIs Son, and the Gospel of Salvation.  Other teachings and ways are not of God and are not of TRUTH.  He has revealed a plan that saves us and will give us eternity with Him and His Son.

"If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the TRUTH; but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:6,7)

Christians are those who have obeyed the TRUTH, become His children, and have heaven as a hope when this life ends. Where are you in regards to God's TRUTH?  He wants us all to be saved, but in order to have that hope, we must comply with His terms -- obey the Gospel of Christ, then live a faithful life.
