TIME FOR EVERYTHING
"THERE IS AN APPOITED TIME FOR EVERYTHING, AND THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERY EVENT UNDERE HEAVEN---" (Ecclesiastes 3:1) As one continues in this chapter He records many things that continue to take place in our physical world. These are things most of us are very familiar with, and see take place day after day. Then in verse eleven we read these words:
"He has made everything appropriate in its TIME; He has also set ETERNITY in their hearts; yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end." (Ecclesiastics 3:11)
God created the universe as we know it here in the realm of TIME. He started the 'CLOCK' of time as we know it. Things come and go, all regulated by the sun and moon, and changing of seasons, etc. God is in control and arranges things as He sees fit. We plan and live our lives in the realm of TIME.....hours, days, months, and years. We get up on time, leave on time, set our appointments by time, arrive on time, and set out watches for every event and activity we participate in. The sun "sets" at a certain time, and "rises" at a certain time, depending on the time of year. The seasons change as God has appointed. Time regulates all we do. But, at the end of this life (end of time) what will happen then?
We all will cease to live by TIME. but enter a prepared place called ETERNITY. A place where our Lord and Father abide -- a place we want to be sometime and live forever with Him there. A wonderful place He has prepared for the faithful --- called HEAVEN.
"For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we HAVE A BUILDING FROM GOD, A HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS, ETERNAL IN THE HEAVENS. ( 2 Corinthians 5:1)
Jesus will come back again (Acts 1:11), in the same way He was taken up into heaven as the Apostles watched Him go. (Luke 24, Acts 1)
"BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, AND EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. Even so. Amen. (Revelation 1:7)
Time and all we know in this universe will come to an end. (2 Peter 3:3-13). Please refer to verses 13-15 of that wonderful chapter .
"But according to His promise we are LOOKING FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, ince you look for these things, be DILIGENT TO BE FOUND BY HIM IN PEACE, SPOTLESS AND BLAMELESS, and regard the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him wrote to you." (2 Peter 3:13-15)
"Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a pledge." (2 Corinthians 5:5)
God always keeps His promises. He will send His Son back to fulfill the words He has given in that promise. Are we ready? TIME is still available to make changes in order to be ready. What will be your answer be? His Gospel has the power to change those who will obey.
