THE BIBLE SPEAKS
THE BIBLE SPEAKS!! It has been said, this Book contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrine is holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.
Read it to be wise, believe in it to be safe and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler's map, the pilgrims staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's character.
He is speaking to us! Doesn't that make it personal? His Word tells us He wants all men to be saved. Could God save man in another way. Of course. But He has chosen Jesus and His Gospel as a means to salvation for us.
"God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many protions and in many ways, IN THESE LAST DAYS HAS SPOKEN TO US IN HIS SON, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. " (Hebrews 1:1-2)
"For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but HAS APPEARED IN THESE LAST TIMES FOR THE SAKE OF YOU, who through Him are believers in God, who RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD AND GAVE HIM GLORY, SO THAT YOUR FAITH AND HOPE ARE IN GOD." (1 Peter 1:20,21)
All Scripture (the Word of God , the Bible) is from God. (1 Corinthians 2:6-12)
"And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom . but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith SHOULD NOT REST ON THE WISDOM OF MEN, BUT ON THE POWER OF GOD.....BUT WE SPEAK GOD'S WISDOM, WHICH GOD PREDESTINED BEFORE THE AGES TO OUR GLORY; THE WISDOM WHICH NONE OF THE RULERS OF THIS AGE HAS UNDERSTOOD; FOR IF THEY HAD UNDERSTOOD IT, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CRUCIFIED THE LORD OF GLORY; ....FOR TO US GOD REVEALED THEM THROUGH THE SPIRIT; FOR THE SPIRIT SEARCHES ALL THINGS, EVEN THE DEPTHS OF GOD."

When Jesus went back to heaven (Luke 24, Acts 1) he delegated authority to His apostles to teach and record all Words of Truth, as revealed through the Holy Spirit, (John 14,15,16). They soon began to preach that "word of truth", the Gospel through out the world, saving men from their sins. (beginning in Acts, and continuing throughout the New Testament recordings). The same Gospel is preached today (God speaking to us), resulting in the same salvation from sin.
The Bible is the way to heaven. "...because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the Word of Truth, the Gospel, which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the GRACE OF GOD IN TRUTH; " (Colossians 1:5,6)
Are we listening?? The New Testament, God's final revelation and plan for man, has the power to let us listen, learn, and obey so we can make heaven our home when this short life ends. (Hebrews 9:27,28) This is God's plan and promise. His promises never fail! Where are you in relationship to Him today?
