Love of Jesus
Love of Jesus
We find God's Word, the Bible, has a central character and theme all the way from Genesis to Revelation. That special person is His Son, Jesus, and the theme is salvation for man from sin. Have you ever given thought to what would have happened had Jesus never been born?? Please consider a few facts ...should Jesus was never born..
If Jesus had never been born.......then:
"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows. When His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before them came together, she was FOUND TO BE WITH CHILD BY THE HOLY SPIRIT." (Matthew 1:18)
"And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21)
......God's plan would have failed. The very heart of His Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus . Without that we could not have a saving savior and faith. and the forgiveness of our sins.
.....we would be hopelessly lost in sin; God's plan to save us by way of His Gospel, and His Son, would never have taken place. Only through that means and plan do we have the hope of salvation and heaven after this life. (Romans 3:23; 5:1-2)
",,,,that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave the only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. " (John 3:15,16)
.....the PERFECT SACRIFICE FOR SIN WOULD NEVER HAVE EXISTED: (Hebrews 1:2-4) We are living in "these last days" as stated by the writer here.
We are living in the "last days of God's speaking to man". He has made it possible by way of His Son to bring us back into perfect relationship with Him now, and eternally in heaven. (Romans 2:8)
"Hence also He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
...because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. " (Hebrews 7:25,27f)
"Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world, but now once at the consummation He has been manifested TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF. And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes judgment; so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, not to bear sin, to those who eagerly await Him, FOR SALVATION." (Hebrews 9:26-28)
So, the question remains, have we obeyed the plan provided by God the Father, and The Son? His Gospel Plan has never changed since it was first spoken through His Apostles in Acts chapter 2. What a wonderful blessing God through His great love and power has come to us even today. (Romans 1:16)
His Word and love never change. And the love of Jesus surely is the greatest gift ever given to man. What is your response to that love?
