God has provided the WAY, TRUTH AND THE LIFE
A while back, my wife passed something on to me, that I thought worth passing on to others. It was written by a gospel preacher some time back, some of you may know....Eugene Britnell, I don't know him personally, but have known of him for many years.
HONESY, ERROR, AND TRUTH
There are many people in the world who are honestly mistaken, but when a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, one of two things must happen: he will cease to be mistaken or, he will cease to be honest. If he does obey it (truth), he will no longer be mistaken. HONESTY AND ERROR MUST SEPARATE WHEN TRUTH COMES ALONG. NO MAN CAN BE HONESTLY MISTAKEN IF HE HAS HEARD THE TRUTH. (Quoted)
"Sanctify them in the truth; Thy word is truth" (John 17:17)
"Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believe Him, "If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31,23)
"Be diligent to present yourselves approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately THE WORD OF TRUTH." (2 Timothy 2:15)
"In Him, you also, after listening to THE MESSAGE OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION---having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise. " (Ephesians 1:13)
One can easily see how important a word "TRUTH" is by just considering these few Scriptures from God's Book.
When one obeys the Word of Truth, the Gospel of Christ, He is "set apart" for God's use---sanctified. (John 17:17).
God is truth, His Son is truth, and the Holy Spirit is truth -- all three persons of the godhead. God's truth is absolute, and the very opposite of error or falsehood. Sadly, many religious people teach and follow that which is not TRUTH. To add to or take away from God's TRUTH makes any of us a false teacher. (2 John 9; Revelation 22:18,19)
"I am the way, and the TRUTH, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me." (John 14:6)
God has provided the WAY, TRUTH AND THE LIFE for any who will listen and obey His Gospel. (Romans 1:16) He sent His Son, and Jesus followed His Father's will to make that possible. Even death on the cross. His resurrection gives victory over death, and promises us a way to heaven when life here ends. What a wonderful plan, and blessing for us all !!
